In this tutorial, we will be setting up an\u00a0Insurgency game<\/strong>\u00a0server on\u00a0Ubuntu 15.04<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Before we can setup the Insurgency server, we need to install a few other packages. Follow the steps below.<\/p>\n

Getting Started:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

1. Install the dependency to run SteamCMD:\u00a0sudo apt-get install lib32gcc1<\/code><\/li>\n
2. Create a new user for running SteamCMD:\u00a0useradd -m steam<\/code><\/li>\n
3. Login to the newly created user:\u00a0su - steam<\/code><\/li>\n
4. Make a directory for SteamCMD:\u00a0mkdir steamcmd<\/code><\/li>\n
5. Move into the SteamCMD directory:\u00a0cd steamcmd<\/code><\/li>\n
6. Download SteamCMD for Linux:\u00a0wget https:\/\/steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net\/client\/installer\/steamcmd_linux.tar.gz<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

   Running SteamCMD<\/strong><\/h3>\n

   \n
   1. Unzip SteamCMD:\u00a0tar -xvzf steamcmd_linux.tar.gz<\/code><\/li>\n
   2. To run SteamCMD type:\u00a0.\/steamcmd.sh<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Downloading Insurgency files<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      \n
      1. Once SteamCMD has started, login to the servers:\u00a0login anonymous<\/code><\/li>\n
      2. Set the install directory:\u00a0force_install_dir .\/insurgency\/<\/code><\/li>\n
      3. Download the Insurgency server files (this may take a while):\u00a0app_update 237410<\/code><\/li>\n
      4. End the session once the files have downloaded:\u00a0quit<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

         Running the Insurgency server<\/strong><\/h3>\n

         \n
         1. Navigate to the directory where the server files were downloaded:\u00a0cd insurgency<\/code><\/li>\n
         2. Run the startup script for the server:\u00a0screen .\/srcds_linux<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Congratulations! You now have an Insurgency game server all setup and running. You can connect to it by using the IP address allocated to your Aklweb host server.<\/p>\n
