3rd party backup software (Leo Backup)<\/strong>\u00a0can be used to automate FTP backups of specific directories and sub directories on Windows dedicated servers. Please follow the directions below to automate your backups.<\/p>\n

1.<\/strong>\u00a0Download Leo Backup at:\u00a0http:\/\/www.leo-backup.com\/download.shtml<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

2.<\/strong>\u00a0Once installed follow the wizard and choose which local directories you want to back up. Click Next.<\/p>\n

3.<\/strong>\u00a0Click on the\u00a0FTP radio<\/strong>\u00a0button and enter the\u00a0FTP IP and credentials<\/strong>. Click next.<\/p>\n

4.<\/strong>\u00a0Under root folder, choose the Date and Time format you’d like the root folder to be formatted.<\/p>\n

-It’s recommended not necessary and can be left as\u00a0“No root folder”<\/strong><\/p>\n

5.<\/strong>\u00a0Choose if you want compression for the back up and encryption.<\/p>\n

-Both settings are optional.<\/p>\n

6. Schedule a automatic backups.\u00a0Click next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

7.<\/strong>\u00a0Set custom actions before and after the back up.\u00a0Click next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

-You can automate sql dumps to back up.<\/p>\n

8.<\/strong>\u00a0Set an\u00a0SMTP server<\/strong>\u00a0to notify the admin of backups.\u00a0Click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

9.<\/strong>\u00a0Choose to verify the files after back up and to change the system state after back up. Click next.<\/p>\n

10.<\/strong>\u00a0Set backup name and click Finish.<\/p>\n
